Brainspotting is a form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with BioLateral sound, which is deep, direct, powerful yet focused and containing. The sound moves back and forth between right and left ears, balances activation of the right and left brain hemispheres and activates the parasympathetic, or calming, part of the nervous system. As the processing occurs mostly in the subcortical brain, this may involve less talking than in traditional talk therapy.
